I'm walking 62 Miles in October for Dementia UK
This October, I'm walking 62 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Walking for you Nan ♥️
Sunday 6th Sep❤️ Hazel’s Heroes ❤️
In October, we’ll be taking part in a dementia walk in memory of my beautiful nan, Hazel.
Nan was such a special person — funny, kind and incredibly strong. She loved her family more than anything and was so proud of her big family. Her home meant so much to her, and she loved my grandad dearly. ❤️
She loved the simple things in life too — her sweets (which she definitely never wanted to share! 😂), baking cakes and making her home feel like a home. She also absolutely loved her crime programmes and could happily sit watching them for hours! 🕵️♀️😂
Nan brought so much love, laughter and warmth to our family. Dementia is a cruel illness, and although we can’t change what happened to Nan, we can help raise awareness and support other families who are going through what we have.
This walk is going to be a particularly difficult challenge for me. I was recently diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which has affected my ability to do things that I once took for granted. I know this walk may be physically and mentally challenging, but I am determined to do it in memory of my nan. ❤️
There may be difficult moments, but I’ll keep putting one foot in front of the other and remind myself who I’m doing it for. Nan was strong, and I’m going to find that strength in her. 🌸
