I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Monday 27th OctEarlier this year, after years of plotting and dreaming, I finally pulled off the ultimate heist—I adopted a dog! The journey was fraught with failed applications and enough disappointment to fill a treat jar, but fortune favoured me at last. Enter Lucy: a 3-year-old miniature cockapoo from Weston-Super-Mare, with a smile that could melt the hardest of hearts.
Lucy’s previous family loved her dearly, but between cats, a new baby, and some health issues, they realised she deserved a life with more squirrel-chasing and fewer feline standoffs. So, on a sunny June day, I embarked on the epic road trip from Weston-Super-Mare to South London, Lucy riding shotgun and dreams coming true..
Now, Lucy is a whirlwind of energy—if there’s a squirrel in the woods, she’s on it faster than you can say “walkies!” She’s living her best life, and honestly, so am I!
The October dog walking challenge is a great way for Lucy and I to enjoy fun walks, keep active and raise funds for this important cause.
