I'm walking 100 miles in May

I’m walking 100 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

5 miles nature walk in Winchester

Saturday 17th May
The nature was breathtaking and the walk breath-taking, 😂! And the sense of fulfilment in the end was so satisfying. Half way through the month and halfway through my 100 miles target as well. Going for 100!

Dementia and Me

Dementia runs in my family. Sadly, I lost my mother in 2021 from reasons related to dementia. Even today, the treatment and cure of dementia remain underfunded and underappreciated in the society. Along with the patient, the family also undergoes tremendous mental trauma and stress dealing with dementia. Collectively, we need to be more empathetic and compassionate towards dementia patients and their families, both. Dementia UK is doing a lot of charity towards this incurable disease and a little help from all of us could go a log way helping the people affected by it.
