Anybody that knows my mother Eileen will tell you what an independent women she is. Since the age of 8 she has gone to town 3 or 4 times per week to do "the messages" but sadly she has not been able to do this for a number of years due to the onset of her Dementia. I first noticed a few years ago her saying some odd things and acting strangely and this progressed to the point we had to move her to a care home for her own safety and our peace of mind. As Dementia has no cure it is difficult to do something practical, so I am doing this swim to try and help others further down the line. thanks
