I'm running 100K for Dementia UK
I will be running 100km (62 miles) throughout February for dementia UK. This will be a challenge for me, but it is minimal compared to the challenges families have to face with when someone they love is diagnosed with dementia.
I lost my Grandad in October 2024. Grandad and Nan were together for 70+ years and he cherished Nan and she was his world. Nan has Dementia and he did everything he could to look after her before he passed away at 96 years old. I will never be able to imagine the challenges he faced during this time, but his love and dedication to her was incredible.
The changes Dementia has made on my Nan over the last few years is heartbreaking to watch and experience. I would like to support Dementia UK to ensure families do not suffer alone. I would really appreciate it if you can support by sponsoring or even sharing this post ❤️

100km Complete
Wednesday 26th Feb
My running 100km in February is now complete. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. I've raised £768 for Dementia UK, which is overwhelming.
I never thought I'd be doing this without Nan by my side. Although I know how much Nan and Grandad would be proud of me (and also call me crazy) throughout all of my running I just wished they could have been here. I'm incredibly lucky to have had such admirable grandparents.
