I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Sunset stomp
Thursday 16th Oct Left later than intended today but managed 4 miles. Beautiful sunset scenery whilst out it was tough fighting the urge to take too many pics of it knowing how far out I was and the woodland I had to walk back through to get home. I always get creeped out in those particular woods in the dark and it was eerily quiet tonight which didn't help my imagination 🤣. We made it back safely though. Pleased with the time of 1hr 19 too, especially when I'm lacking energy at the moment only just recovered from that awful cold!
Mushroom Magic 🍄✨
Saturday 11th Oct Did you know the new forest is home to an estimated 2700 different species of Fungi? Including threatened species and some that are only found here? There's a little nugget of info for you 😀. We had a beautiful chilled walk today just me and Daisy, really taking our time. I couldn't stop taking pictures of all the mushrooms I saw 😍 so many out there at the moment it's amazing 🤩. 6.5miles covered, I could've stayed out all day, except I'm not keen on the cattle being out on the estate at the moment but that's the way of the world and I can always walk elsewhere 😀. Headed back along the coastline....Daisy decided she would like to have a swim. Despite the mud. She did not make it for a swim, only a mud bath paddle 😂 oh well, she needed a bath anyway 😂. Thanks for the sponsors so far ✌🏼 Share
Variety is the spice of life
Tuesday 7th Oct Variety is the spice of life! We love getting out and about in the local area and are so fortunate to have a vast variety of incredible walks right on our doorstep, from coastal routes to village strolls there certainly is a lot of choice to keep it interesting. The most variation we achieved this evening however was doing our usual route backwards 🤣 and adding in the beach 🤷🏼♀️. Not an eventful walk this evening, sorry to disappoint 😂. Thanks for all the donations and support so far, much appreciated guys 😁 Share
Sneezes and trips. TMI?
Monday 6th Oct Feeling awful still after a full on weekend (don't take on a commitment like a walking challenge in the midst of a renovation project!). But got out to do the minimum daily requirement today just under 2.5miles. Wasn't my favourite walk - started with a sneeze and you mums out there know what that can mean 🤣. Yes. That happened. The rest of the walk was fairly uneventful, Doo's had lovely zoomies. The home straight however involved an ankle roll on uneven ground and me fully stacking it. Laying in the grass for about 2 whole mins whilst the dog basically gave me the middle finger and continued her zoomies and launched herself over me at full speed like a hurdle 🤣. Second word of advice for this post when you think you will be fine without your walking boots - you won't, just put them on 🤣. Anyway if you read this, it was probably TMI but hey, at least someone is reading 🤣 peace out ✌🏼 Share
Sunday Funday
Sunday 5th Oct Still full of a horrid cold but out this morning with the Mr and Doo's for a 10.5km stroll. Lots of chestnuts about 😍. Glad to have built up a little buffer of mileage over the weekend to help take pressure off during the working week. Share
Full of cold
Saturday 4th Oct Day 4 - full of cold but had a lovely morning walk with Laura and Nav's 5.29miles completed which is good as I failed to get out yesterday! Hoping for another big walk tomorrow to help get ahead of the game 😁 Share
Go Amy. Well done. Xxx
