Week 4

Friday 28th Aug My Dementia Uk 50km challenge is complete 🎉 this week I managed a 2.5km swim on Monday, 2km swims on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, then a final 2.5km swim on Friday 🏊🏻‍♀️ thank you again to everyone who donated ❤️ I hope I made my Grandad proud ❤️ Share

Week 3

Saturday 22nd Aug Week 3 of my Dementia UK 50km challenge is done! This week was a tough one - I ended up with viral tonsillitis at the start of the week which I couldn't shift, so I had to miss my planned Wednesday and Thursday swims 🥹 thankfully after a trip to see the pharmacist, I felt a lot better Friday so resumed swimming 😊 and I felt lots better today which meant I could do a 5km swim and catch back up! Only 11km left to go now 🏊🏻‍♀️ hoping to make my Grandad proud ❤️ Share

Week 2

Saturday 15th Aug Week 2 of my Dementia UK swim is complete and 28 km is done 🏊🏻‍♀️ Determined to finish the last 22 km in the next 2 weeks despite the very sad news I recieved yesterday 🩷 Thank you to my uncle Paul for his recent online donation, and also my mum Lesley, her friend Margaret and my partner Luke for their cash donations 🩷 I've now hit my £250 target! Friday 7th Aug First week of my Dementia Uk challenge is complete! Following my 5k on Saturday 1st, I have done four 2k swims and another 5k swim today 🏊🏻‍♀️ 18k is now done 🎉 Share

Saturday 1st Aug I've just completed my first swim as part of my 50km challenge for Dementia UK 🎉 I have to be honest, I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it after some bad news yesterday, but I remembered that he is the person I'm doing this for, and I want to make him proud 💜 5km down, 45km to go!
