I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

As some of you will know, Sandy, my mum was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia back in 2023. 

Adapting our lives and homes to care for Mum was and continues to be a huge undertaking. 
There’ll be so many families with less support than ours navigating this awful illness alone- so as a small token, in gesture of appreciation for this work dementia UK do for people in the same situation  and in hope of an advancement in research on this illness - I’m going to get out everyday (and let’s be honest it’s going to rain in September) clear my carers head and hopefully help others in the process.
