I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

Day 20

Wednesday 20th May
Managed 2 miles today with Harold! Clocking up my 20th mile for Dementia UK. Hoping to get ahead now we have a few days of sunshine ahead of us

Day 17

Wednesday 20th May
Although I have been out since the 11th not always taking pics! Had fallen behind a little too with the weather and other commitments but back on it today, out early to beat the rain with a great 3.5miles. Great start to Sunday

Day 11

Monday 11th May
Just a short 1 mile round Scunthorpe's industrial area, on an unknown to me and the pooch a big day for British Steel!!

Day 10

Sunday 10th May
Birthday walk for me today, not the walk we thought round the nearby village of Wrawby, turns out the long blue 'canal' on the map was actually the motorway... eek! Not the nicest part of the walk along the side of traffic speeding by but some fab flora to balance it out.

Day 8

Friday 8th May
Beautiful day to be out in mother nature. So grateful to have these open spaces, fresh air and beauty around. A fabulous bonus a deer, just stood watching me the whole time no intention of moving from its lush grazing spot.

Day 6

Wednesday 6th May
Something different today, a short walk round the heritage trails of Epworth, the birthplace of the Wesley's.  Just over a mile of a history on my doorstep

Day 4

Monday 4th May

A grey miserable and in the words of Bjork ‘oh so quiet’ bank holiday Monday morning Elliot & I did a short walk along the old railway line

Day 2

Saturday 2nd May
Day 2-  almost 3 miles, in the lovely sunshine, we walked to Belton Coffee House for a nice cuppa and then back, taking in the flora and fauna along the way
