I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Nailed it!

Monday 20th Oct
So I have completed my 75 miles - let’s see how much more I can do. Also managed to help rescue a black cocker spaniel tonight that was running backwards and forwards over the main road. Worried owner quickly found.

A very windy walk today as Storm Amy has arrived with a vengeance. We did just over 3 miles. The advantage of the bad weather was that the park was deserted so Ellie could have an off lead run and she made the most of it and got absolutely soaked in the process

Today we  managed a wet 3.58 miles including a run in the park - Ellie , not me!

Walking for dementia

Monday 1st Sep
My dad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I am walking to help families affected by dementia get the help and support they need.  My husband and I are going on holiday to the Isle of Mull in October and for the first time Ellie is coming too. We will be doing lots of walking  and hope to meet our target very quickly.
