I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Tuesday 25th Nov One more swim and I’m finished..! it’s been good! A bit tricky trying to fit the swims in with work and work trips and trying to find times when the pool is not full of kids playing or training as well as pensioners who like to get in the pool very early in the morning! But there is room for us all one way or another!

Wednesday 19th Nov I'm over half way there, 158 lengths to go.... The tricky bit is finding times when I can swim up and down without kids being there that fit in with working and stuff! However its been good, the new goggles have been great and I can see now how swimming can be fitted in actually , despite hair tantrums!! Thank you all so much for your dontations - so appreciated thank you so much, and if you would like to donate to this incredibly important charity I would be so grateful. Coping with Dementia in one way or another is hard work as I can see more and more often with friends trying to deal with this as it affects parents and as we saw with my own lovely mum. Saturday 1st Nov I decided to do a bit more swimming and this seemed like a great motivator. We think my mum had vascular dementia and I know that many of my friends have a family member dealing with dementia so it seemed a great cause to support.Thank you to my Sponsors
