I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

I did it!

Thursday 27th Nov
So last week I smashed the 600 lengths and today I swam my 1000th length. To say I am proud of myself is an understatement. The last few lengths I became emotional but made myself focus and not crumble. 
Chuffed to bits with what I have raised for the charity for my efforts. My aqua aerobics friends gave me a big cheer today which was really nice of them. And my wing woman, Kim,  was there cheering me on  right to the end and gave me a massive high five ✋

Wednesday 19th Nov
I have completed my challenge and have swam 640 lengths!, over 15km or over 9 miles. I will continue to swim not just for November but each week as it’s restored my enjoyment of  swimming. Also my wing woman, Kim, has helped me improve my swimming skills which has been revolutionary. 
If you can donate I truly appreciate it and thank you to those who have donated online and my aqua crew that have given too.

I have chosen to help dementia UK this year by doing a swimming challenge. I completed a knitting challenge last year but I have chosen a swimming challenge as I enjoy swimming and the cause is so worthwhile and very close to my heart with family and friends who are affected and effected by this condition.
