I'm walking 62 miles in May
I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Walking for a Cause: 62 Miles in May for Dementia Awareness
Tuesday 6th MayThis May, I’m taking on a personal challenge to walk 62 miles in honour of a very special person in my life—someone who has been affected by dementia. It’s a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart, and I’m hoping to raise £250 to support those living with this condition and the families who care for them.
Why dementia?
Dementia doesn’t just affect memory—it affects lives. Watching someone you love slowly lose parts of who they are is one of the hardest things to witness. That’s why I’m walking: to honour their strength, raise awareness, and help fund vital support services for individuals and families living with dementia every day.
Why 62 miles?
That’s 2 miles a day for the entire month of May—a small physical challenge compared to the emotional challenges faced by those living with dementia. Every step I take is a step toward a more understanding, supportive world for them.
How you can help:
Please consider donating whatever you can—every pound makes a difference. Your support means the world to me and to the thousands of families dealing with dementia right now.
Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply words of encouragement, thank you for helping me walk with purpose this May.
Together, we can make a difference.
