I'm walking 62 miles in May

I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Why am I taking part?

Friday 25th Apr
I am wanting to do this to help raise vital funds for the support of people with dementia or living or caring for people with dementia. I have had my own experience of caring for someone with dementia and know just how hard it can be. Both my Gran and Grandma developed dementia and I know how difficult caring for someone with this condition can be, you lose the person before they are physically gone and that can be so difficult. Charities like this are a life line for so many people and I want to do my bit to support and make sure charities like this can continue doing the valuable work they do.

Good on you Adam, it’s really difficult to understand how awful dementia can be. Unless you have lived with someone who is a sufferer and no longer knows who you are, even though they have loved you all your life, it’s impossible to understand. Well done ! A worthy cause.
