Swimming for Dementia!!
Tuesday 11th NovOver the past year, my family and I have experienced firsthand what it’s like to care for someone living with dementia. My Grandma was diagnosed about a year ago, and since then, our lives have changed in so many ways.
Watching someone you love slowly lose parts of their memory and independence is incredibly hard. There are good days and difficult days — moments of laughter mixed with moments of confusion. Through it all, I’ve learned just how important patience, compassion, and support truly are.
That’s why I’ve decided to raise money for Dementia UK. The charity provides specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who offer life-changing support to families affected by dementia. They help people like my Grandma live as well as possible, and they give families like mine the guidance we need to cope and care with confidence.
By fundraising for Dementia UK, I hope to give back and help other families who are going through the same challenges. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in ensuring that no one faces dementia alone.
