Run 100K in February '26

I'm running 100K for Dementia UK

This February, I'm running 100K and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

🎉 Proud

Saturday 7th Feb
Once I set my mind to a goal, I’m getting it done. Feeling proud, motivated, and ready for the next milestone.

25% There! 🎉

Saturday 7th Feb
Today I completed another 10K to add to my challenge, and that means I’ve now reached 25% of my goal. Once I commit to something, I have to see it through! Every time I receive a notification from Dementia UK to say the challenge has been supported because of my efforts, it truly makes my heart so happy. It reminds me why I started and keeps me moving on the tougher days. Thank you all so much — I really, truly appreciate every bit of your support. 💙

Running for Something Bigger

Wednesday 4th Feb
Today’s run felt like one of those quiet wins that sneak up on you. Another 5k done, legs moving, head clear, just putting one foot in front of the other. That makes 15k completed so far this February for my challenge.
This challenge isn’t just about the kilometres. It’s for a big cause: supporting people living with dementia and the families who walk that journey alongside them. Every run is a reminder of why I started — to help raise awareness, spark conversations, and contribute in whatever way I can.
Some runs are tough, some feel lighter, but they all matter. Each kilometre is for those facing dementia with courage every single day, and for the carers and loved ones who show up with endless patience and love.
Onwards to the next 5k — and many more to come 💙🏃‍♀️

Another 5K done! 🏃‍♀️🎉

Monday 2nd Feb
Another 5K completed and added to my challenge — that’s 10% of my goal already achieved, and it’s only 2nd February! I honestly couldn’t be happier or more proud at this early stage of the journey. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. Your kind words, encouragement, and belief mean more than I can put into words. Reading your messages genuinely gives me an extra boost of motivation and reminds me why I started this in the first place. This journey is already teaching me so much, and I feel incredibly grateful that I’ve begun it — and that I chose a cause that truly matters to me. Knowing that every step helps makes it all worth it. Onwards and upwards — this is just the beginning! 💪✨

A Strong Start to the Challenge 💪

Sunday 1st Feb
Today marks the beginning of my February 100k challenge—and the first 5k is officially done! 🎉 That’s 5k out of 100k in the books, and it couldn’t have started on a better note. What made today extra special was the company. My kids joined me and completed the full 5k alongside me. Huge bravo to them! 👏 Watching their determination and energy was incredibly motivating. Great company, great energy, and a great beginning to what promises to be an exciting journey ahead. One step at a time—let’s go! 🚀

The Journey to 100km Begins 🏃‍♀️

Tuesday 27th Jan
I’m excited to share that my journey towards the 100km February Challenge for Dementia UK has officially begun! On 24 January 2026, I completed my first warm-up run — 3.09km in 21 minutes and 29 seconds. It was a great way to ease into training, shake off the nerves, and remind myself why I signed up for this challenge in the first place. There’s a long way to go before February is over, but every kilometre counts. Knowing that each step helps support people living with dementia and their families is a huge motivation to keep going, even on the tougher days. This was just the start — I’m looking forward to building up the distance, staying consistent, and sharing more updates as the challenge continues. Thank you to everyone supporting me and this incredible cause 💙

Why I’m Running 100km for Dementia UK 🏃‍♀️

Tuesday 27th Jan

Hi everyone 👋

I’m taking on the 100km February Challenge to raise money for Dementia UK, a cause that is very close to my heart.

I’ve seen first-hand how dementia can affect not just the person living with it, but the whole family, through watching close member of family suffer with the condition. It’s heartbreaking and incredibly challenging, and it’s why the work Dementia UK does—especially through their Admiral Nurses—is so important.

Every kilometre I run and every donation made will help support families who are going through this difficult journey. Thank you so much for your kindness and support 💙
