I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
My lovely dad has Alzheimer’s, and watching someone you love struggle with this cruel disease has been incredibly difficult. It’s been hard for him, but it’s also been a challenging journey for me and our family.
We’ve been so grateful for the support we’ve received from various groups and therapy sessions. Having people, friends who understand what we’re going through, listen and offer support has made a real difference.
I’m doing it for my dad and for all the families affected by dementia. I want to help raise awareness and support a charity that provides such valuable help to people going through this journey.
Thirty miles will be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what my dad and so many others face every day.
If you can donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me and my family. ❤️ Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
