My donations could fund…
4
hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse
Pinky Promise Dementia Group - SMA is supporting Time for a cuppa
Sadly, my mom passed away on 2nd September 2021, she did not want flowers but asked for donations instead from all her lovely family and friends. The donations were to be put into opening a new dementia group which I did in her memory in 2023 and from then it has gone from strength to strength, and her memory is still carried on to this day in the name of Pinky Promise Dementia Group SMA – Sharing Memories Altogether
This year at our Easter Fundraiser 29/3/26 We have chosen to support Dementia uk with a charity day and Time for a cuppa 24/5/26 would be eternally grateful with a donation of any amount you can afford as ever donation big or small will help those on their dementia journey via Dementia Uk
At Dementia uk families facing dementia know they are not alone. Dementia uk are a specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
This is done by giving help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future.
Did you know that Dementia is the UK's biggest killer.
Around 944,000 people are estimated to be living with dementia in the UK, and someone develops the condition every three minutes.
Dementia is not a normal part of ageing and its not just about forgetting things. It is a group of symptoms caused by different diseases that damage the brain. The symptoms get worse over time and include memory loss, confusion and needing help with daily tasks, problems with language and understanding and changes in their behaviour.
This fundraiser will help raise vital funds to help improve care and support. £33 could fund a new dementia admiral nurse to visit at home for one hour or £21 can help fund a telephone support call for 4 families.
