Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Dementia affects us all

Thursday 30th Apr
We all know someone who has been affected by dementia , either directly as a sufferer or indirectly as family or friend. Science is advancing all the time but that requires monetary support and so does the ongoing work that dementia nurses and groups do with patients and their families.
My challenge to myself is to walk a mile every day in May and those who know me are aware of the sifficulties I face with walking due to health issues. However , the need to help is too strong for me to wimp out and I also know that regular exercise will help me avoid dementia for as long as possible ( especially with having lost both parents to dementia and associated ill health).
Please give what you can afford and ahare my page so we can maximise the outcome of this challenge. Much love to everyone who knows me. 💖
