I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Why this, why now?
Wednesday 15th Apr People that know me and know of my family will be aware that Dementia has been cruel to us more than once. Losing my Great Nan in the early 90s to Alzheimer's at a time where much less was known. Then in 2011 sadly we also lost my Nan also to Alzheimer's that came from Dmeentia. She and I were like best mates and seeing a once full of life character fade before our eyes was tough. In 2015 after a fall on Christmas eve 2014 my grandfather developed a form of dementia whilst he was in hospital, having broken his hip. Sadly, after 3 months in a hospital bed and having sorted care for him, he got a serious infection and never came home. So, our motivation is to help raise funds for all forms of Dementia research so that some day we can find a cure.Thank you to my Sponsors

The first step is always the hardest… so they say. Each step may be challenging, and painful, but you two are strong and have got this! Use your inspiration to move forwards. Well done both of you. 👏🏼
