I'm walking 62 Miles in October
I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

I’ve Done It! 🎉
Wednesday 22nd Oct
At the start of October, I set myself the challenge of walking 62 miles to raise money for Dementia UK, in memory of my dad who passed away from Alzheimer’s.
I’m really chuffed to say that I’ve finished the walk – and even managed it a week early! 👣
A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me, cheered me on, or put up with me moaning about my blisters (you know who you are!).
Thanks to all of you, I’ve reached my fundraising target, which is incredible. Every penny goes towards helping families living with dementia get the support they need, and that makes every single step worth it.
Walking 62 miles in October in memory of my Dad
Wednesday 17th SepIn 2019, I lost my Dad, Howard, to Alzheimer’s. Watching him fade away to this cruel disease was one of the hardest things my family and I have ever gone through. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just take memories it takes moments, conversations, and the person you love most piece by piece.
This October, I’ll be walking 62 miles to raise funds for Dementia UK, an incredible charity that provides specialist dementia nurses to support families living with this illness. Their work brings comfort, advice, and hope to people who often feel completely lost.
Every mile I walk will be in memory of Dad, and every pound raised will go toward helping other families get the support they desperately need.
If you’re able to, please consider sponsoring me. No donation is too small together we can make a difference for families facing dementia today, and in the future.
