This January I’m walking 50 miles in 31 days!
Tuesday 30th DecHi i’m Steph for those that don’t know me and this is my beautiful Grandma Annie.
Back in February 2019 my Grandma was diagnosed with vascular Dementia the confirmation was difficult to digest and as a family we didn’t know what the future would look like, for my Grandma or us as a family. My Grandma and us as a family are now needing support and guidance from Admiral nurses. Dementia affects people in all different ways and with over 900,000 people living with dementia in the uk, the need for specialist nursing care has never been greater!
This January Im stepping up and have signed up and committed to walk 50 miles in 31 days to raise funds for @dementia_uk as no family should have to face dementia alone.
£25 - Could pay for the telephone costs of several families calling the free Admiral nurse Dementia helpline.
£33 - Funds a specialist Admiral nurse for one hour to provide practical and emotional support to a family in need.
