I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK
This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.
For anyone that knows me, I can speak from experience with this awful disease. My mother had Alzeihmers for 9 years and was cared for by my dad. Sadly 3 years ago, my Dad was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia with Aphasia.
This affects his speach terribly and he is unable to communicate with us at all, and he is deteriorating rapidly.
He's aleady forgotten my name, and who I am to him. It breaks my heart daily to see someone you've looked up to all your life, have a piece of him taken away every day. As the advert says and is so true, a piece of him dies every day.
Please help me raise funds for the Dementia Nurses, any donation will help.

Wednesday 30th Apr I’ve enjoyed every day going out and jogging a mile. Having 2 parents suffer with this awful disease, being a carer for my dad, this has really helped my mental health. I didn’t think I would enjoy it but it’s been really helpful.
