Walk 30 Miles in September 2026

Join the Facebook group for Walk 30 miles in September challenge.

I'm walking 150 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 150 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

117 miles - 33 to go

Monday 21st Sep
Bit of sunshine today helped get the steps in. 117 miles completed, it’s been a tough month - lots of rain with quite a few of the miles completed in the walking pad, but not far off my 150 mile target

Getting some muddy steps in

Saturday 19th Sep
Added to my steps down the black path today, this was our daily walk in lock down with the kids. Although not quite as muddy and wet as today. Appreciate all the support.

Getting the girls involved

Thursday 17th Sep
The girls came for an evening walk with me last night. Thanks again for all the support

Half way point

Tuesday 15th Sep
82 miles into the challenge, thank you for every donation and/or share. It has been a tough month with the weather but getting my steps in every day.

150 Miles for Mum

Tuesday 11th Aug
I know I have signed up for 30 Miles but my personal challenge is 150 miles in the month of September to support such a worthwhile cause, which impacts not only the individual but also the families

Every penny or share makes all the difference

During September will do regular updates on how I am tracking for the 150 miles

You will smash this! I’m sure there will be a bottle of Coke at the end for you, that you won’t drink. Your Mum would be very impressed and proud. And surprised I’m sure. The further I’ve seen you walk was the PBS office to McDonalds.
