Walk 30 Miles in September 2026

Join the Facebook group for Walk 30 miles in September challenge.

I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

In memory of my Taid 🩵

Sunday 16th Aug
So I don’t ever do these charity things and this one popped up for Dementia UK and caught my attention. We lost my Taid (grandad in Welsh) a few years ago during Covid so there was no goodbye. Not that you ever really get a goodbye with someone suffering with dementia. You lose them very slowly and painfully. Dementia takes a person over time until they no longer know themself. It’s painful as a family member to whiteness and very slow and prolonged.
I don’t plan to walk 30 miles, I’m aiming to get my running shoes back on for this and get the miles in that way. It’s been some months so this will be painful and slow but every penny I can raise to help other families facing this will be worth it.
Please help me hit my target 🩵 for Taid x
