I’m taking on a challenge to walk 50 miles this January to raise money in support of Dementia UK.
When my Nana was diagnosed with dementia, we had no idea how profoundly our lives would change. My family supported her the best we could, but there was so much we weren’t prepared for. She went from being a kind, gentle woman to someone who was often confused, quick to anger, and lost in the world around her.
When I saw this challenge, it felt like the right opportunity to honour her and support others facing similar journeys. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will go toward vital services for people living with dementia in the UK.
