Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

A mile is still a mile

Wednesday 6th May
Only time for a mile today (well. 1.09 according to Strava), but it all adds to the total. A quick jaunt through the local churchyard led me past this beauty of a dandelion, just waiting for the right breeze to scatter its seeds.

A quick post...

Monday 4th May
Saw this wonderful directional post in the park this morning with it's beautiful lichen. And another 2.2 miles walked means I've hit 5 miles already!

Up and running (well, walking...)

Sunday 3rd May
First miles under my belt. A walk through Darnford Park in Lichfield added 2.8 miles to my total. Made a little video for FB and Instagram too (hence fluffy thing on my collar - it's a mic!).  And my first donations too! Thank you, everyone!
