Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Family Is Everything

Sunday 12th Apr
A few months ago we as a family had some very sad news that we all had to get our heads around.
My mom’s husband, my stepdad, the grandad to my girls got diagnosed with dementia. Something you think will never happen to a member of your family, it has came as a huge shock to us all!
After everything Dave has done for me & the girls I want to give something back and show that we as a family are with him through this most difficult time.
Myself and my daughter Ella will be committing ourselves to walk 1 Mile a day in May, any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi my names Ella i’m 14 years of age and as a child i always used to be with my grandad, he took me on holidays, out for food, took me on walks, calmed me down when i felt overwhelmed. My biological father wasn’t really in the picture and my grandad always made sure to be there, he was the man that taught me things and taught me how to tie my shoe laces. Although things may be difficult or confusing for him lately i want him to know that he is loved and i’ll forever cherish the memories we made together when times were hard. I love you grandad
