Winter Reading Challenge

I'm doing Winter Reading Challenge for Dementia UK

This winter, I'm reading and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

❄️My Reading Winter Challenge Begins… 📚✨

Wednesday 21st Oct
❄️ My Reading Winter Journey Begins… 📚✨ It’s time to step back into the world of Prythian! 🌙 For the start of my Reading Winter Challenge in aid of Dementia UK, I’ve decided to pick up a series that I’ve been so excited to return to — A Court of Thorns and Roses — and dive into A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas. 🖤📖 There’s something so special about getting lost in a book, escaping into another world and following characters as their stories unfold. I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes me, what twists and turns are waiting, and how the story develops. I’m going in excited, curious, and ready to get lost in the magic all over again! This feels like the perfect way to kick off my reading winter journey. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing my reading adventures, the books I pick up, my thoughts along the way, and hopefully discovering some new favourites as the nights get colder and the evenings get cosier. ☕️🍂 But this challenge is about more than just reading. I’m taking on this journey to raise money for Dementia UK, a charity that supports families affected by dementia — something that has touched my own family, too. ❤️ Reading is something I love, and being able to turn that passion into something that could help other families makes this challenge even more meaningful. Every donation, no matter how small, can help make a difference. So, here’s to cosy evenings, endless cups of coffee, fictional worlds, unforgettable characters, and making a difference one page at a time. 📚✨ Let the Reading Winter Challenge begin! ❄️ Have you read A Court of Silver Flames? I’d love to hear your thoughts — but no spoilers, please! 👀💜 If you’d like to support my journey and help me raise money for Dementia UK, any donation would mean the world to me. Thank you for following along! #ReadingWinterChallenge #ACourtOfSilverFlames #ACOTAR #SarahJMaas #DementiaUK #ReadingForCharity #BookLovers #CosyReadingSeason

📚Why I’m reading this winter for Dementia

Wednesday 21st Oct

This winter, I’ve decided to take on a little challenge that means a lot to me. I’ve signed up to Read This Winter to raise money for dementia Uk, combining something I absolutely love — reading — with a cause that is close to my heart. ❤️

Reading has always been something I enjoy. There’s something special about being able to escape into a book, get lost in another world, and take a little time for yourself. So, when I had the opportunity to turn that love of reading into something that could help others, it felt like the perfect thing to do.

But this challenge is about more than just books for me.

I’ve had family members affected by dementia, so I know this is a cause that can touch your life in a very personal way. Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it affects their loved ones, their families, and the people who care for them. So many families across the country are facing the challenges, heartache and uncertainty that come with this condition, and far too many of us know someone whose life has been changed by it.

That’s why raising awareness and supporting dementia charities matters so much.

I know I can’t change everything on my own, but I truly believe that little things can make a big difference. Every donation, no matter how small, can help contribute towards the important work dementia charities do to support people living with dementia, their families and carers, as well as research and raising awareness.

So, this winter, I’ll be picking up my books, making a few cosy cups of tea or coffee, and reading with a purpose. ☕📖

I’ll be sharing my progress along the way, the books I’m reading, and how my challenge is going. Hopefully, I can encourage a few more people to get involved, spread some awareness, and help raise a little money for a cause that affects so many of us.

If you’re able to donate, share my fundraising page, or even just help spread the word, I would be so grateful. Every little bit really does help.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first blog post and for being part of this journey with me.

One book at a time, one page at a time, and every little bit for a cause that matters. ❤️📚
