I'm walking 62K with Luna for Dementia UK

Hello everyone! 👋😄

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my little page!

I saw the 62K Dementia UK challenge for March, and thought it was the perfect idea for Luna Pup and I, to keep walking and striving to improve every day!

As some of you know, following my spinal surgery last year I couldn't walk, and so this will be a huge accomplishment if I can hit 62K by the end of March.  

I've been building up my walking, and see this as a great opportunity to take the next steps (pun intended) toward my recovery, and if I can raise some money for Dementia UK at the same time, even better! 

I've had loved ones, who unfortunately have or have had dementia, and it's such a sad thing to go through. More certainly needs to be done to help families through it, which Dementia UK does.

As my Auntie Audrey and Vincent always say, "Keep going" - and that's what I intend to do.

So please give what you feel you can afford to do - equally, any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.

This March, I'm walking 62K with my dog and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
