I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Mile a day Memories…

Dementia is truly such a cruel and harsh illness that affects so many. 
 Not only the individual but their entire family and friends  annd let’s not forget all the incredible people;  who often work tirelessly,  looking after  the person and family. 
Both my Nanna Pat and my dad John suffered from dementia. I’ve also known many friends who have had family members also endure this incredibly traumatic experience. 
I’ve decided to do this mile a day walk mainly to raise awareness and also share and support with others  going through similar. 
Every penny donated is very much appreciated and needed!! 
However for me personally , it will be more about trying to walk that mile in places old;  that hold cherished memories and walking in new places making new and different ones!!
