I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Sunday 10th May
As I sit here, I’m incredulous of how generous everyone has been.  We are totally blown away.  Donations are still arriving and it looks like we may be doubling our success of last year of £1,185.61.  The raffle to win tickets to see Moulin Rouge, kindly donated by ATG, has yet to be made so watch this space for the results and final total ….🙏

Countdown to Cake!

Tuesday 5th May
Hello!  Any many many thanks to everyone who has donated to my Dementia UK fundraising account.  We are just 4 days away from the actual event at our house on Saturday 9 May from 1100-1800.  My initial target of £300 has already been succeeded which is fantastic, but in reality that equates to just 13 hours of support by a dementia Admiral Nurse.  There is a desperate shortage of these specialist nurses so I'm reaching out again to ask for your extra support to make a difference to so many having to deal with this terrible condition.  Thank you again for your support and hoping to see many of you in person next Saturday. xx

Last year we hosted a Time for a Cuppa event for the first time and it was not only great fun, but more importantly we were able to raise much needed funds to support those having to deal with dementia.  Having been there ourselves before with my Dad, and more recently with Mark’s sister, and unfortunately now with friends, we want to do our bit again.  Please support the massively underfunded provision of Admiral Nurses.  🙏 xx
