I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

A lovely mile with lovely Laura in the Shropshire countryside! Over £1300 raised now!!!

Wednesday 20th May
Today I walked my fastest mile of the challenge so far - and I've now raised £1082 for Dementia UK to support families living with Dementia 💕🩵💕🩵

Mile 19

Tuesday 19th May
A blustery mile along Pendine Sands today - the site of many record breaking Land Speed events. I've now raised just over £950. Very proud of myself!

Tuesday 12th May
Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to my fundraising total. I'm very proud that I've now raised over £800 in memory of my mum and to support families living with Dementia.

Mile 6 Today!

Wednesday 6th May
My fastest mile of the challenge so far - and I've now raised £728 to support people living with Dementia.  

Fundraising total so far is now £700!

Sunday 3rd May
Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me - I'm delighted to say that I've now raised £700 to support people living with Dementia and their families.  I walked mile 3 today - despite being on antibiotics and steroids for a chest infection and asthma!

I spoke to an Admiral Nurse via the Dementia UK website on what turned out to be the day before my mum died in February this year, after she had  been living with Dementia for several years. The information and advice I was given were very helpful and I'm glad I made the call. I'm taking part in this challenge to help Dementia UK continue to support families living with Dementia and as a tribute to my mum. Any donations will make a difference to people living with Dementia. Thank you very much 😁
