I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK

This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Walking for Nan

Hi everyone. 
Thanks for viewing. 
I will be walking my 60miles for my nan. She has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. Although the diagnosis is new it's been hard seeing her struggle, particularly with short term memory. This is also hard on my Grandad who is not in the best of health himself. 
Though nan still remembers us at the moment, she is failing to match connections as to what we are to her eg  that I am her grandaughter. I dread the day I walk in and she doesn't know who I am. My nan has been my second mom, and her house my second home, especially throughout secondary school and late teens, I practically lived with her 😊. I hope these donations help fund research, nurses, carers and specialists who can continue to care for and support people like my nan and families like mine who will struggle with this dreadful illness.
