I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. 

A £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

....So much. I never expected to go above and beyond the £50 target in less than 24 hours. I've changed the target as it would be great to raise as much as possible for Dementia UK.

I only connected my watch to the fitness app yesterday so the miles showing isn't accurate but i need to work out how to manually add what i've done since 1st October.

This is the first time that dementia has affected our family and it isn't until you're living it, day by day that you realise just how heartbreaking and cruel this disease is. Watching your loved one who has always been so independent slowly lose a little bit more of themselves every day! I'd love to reach at least £50 so if you could donate just £1, I'd be so grateful. If you see me having a little walk in my t shirt, give me a beep or a cheer :)
