I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
My mum was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia a couple of years ago. She has been living quite well with it until recently, but now she needs support with many day to day tasks. As a family it has been difficult to see the change in someone who was once so active and would do anything for anyone having to rely on the assistance of others, but the support and advice that we have gained from professionals and charities like Dementia UK has been invaluable.
I want to do my bit to help raise money for Dementia UK, so that they can continue to support families like mine, living with and caring for someone with dementia.
My challenge is to walk 50 miles with my dog this October, and I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Rainy day
Friday 3rd Oct So we've had mum staying with us for this week as her usual carers (my bro & his fiancée) are on holiday. I think she's enjoying the change of scenery and having the kids around 😊 and she's been doing super. She's been busy cleaning my kitchen this morning! I reckon she can come more often lol
