Run 100K in February '26

I'm running 100K for Dementia UK

This February, I'm running 100K and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Monday 9th Feb
9.5km smashed today in two runs. That's 46.5km and almost half way there. I'd say I'm adapting to the heat.. but I'm not.

Sunday 8th Feb
Over a third of the way.  Today was a struggle at 4.5km but I'm still going.  

Was also a sad day.  So that didn't help. 

32.5 down (almost 1/3rd)

Saturday 7th Feb
5km more achieved today. Done in two runs. One after a full English breakfast that was suppose to be a Scottish breakfast. Not an advised pre run meal and the other a while after I got back to rest and not spew. Feel good it's out the way by 1pm. Press up challenge I'm at zero for today and I was under yesterday's target of 88.

Good day vs bad day

Friday 6th Feb
5k more down yesterday but failed today and only got 2.5k today.  

Can't win them all but I'll make this up another day somewhere.   Not quite sure where just yet.  Maybe try the three park run this week coming and just completely destroy my legs but rattle of 20kish.

Wednesday 4th Feb
Another 5k down and I'm 1/5th of the way home.  
Press ups begin tomorrow so it's all about to get harder.

Tuesday 3rd Feb
I've just done my first day run of this effort. 31 degrees blazing sun and it wasn't helping my running. Another 5k down and 85k to go. Making progress.

5k more down. Just running in circles after midnight.

Sunday 1st Feb
So I'm down another 5k. That's 10k in 2 days. Which is wise as I start my push up challenge in a few days an for at least the first few days I figure my body is really going to struggle. Also today I learned not to tell thai people their curry isn't that spicy then order more. 25 f chillies in one.. suffered for about 5 hours but still managed to get a run in before bed.

So that's the beginning. First 5k. Decent time in the 30 degree heat just after midnight.
