Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

A special walk today. 6.68 miles

Friday 29th May
To mark my Nan's Birthday today i wanted to complete my challenge....and did....twice over!!! 🎉

Happy Birthday Nan!!

Friday 29th May
Always bittersweet that a week after we wished you happy birthday we had to say goodbye to you. Makes it even more fitting that today I passed 62 miles for my 31miles in May Challenge. This is for you and to help those living with and fighting this horrible disease! In you memory I walk for you and walk the steps that Grandad wishes he could. To our Queen, happy birthday! ❤️

Delapre walk & Pub

Wednesday 27th May
Spontaneous evening introducing a mate to Delapre Abbey in the sun followed by a well deserved glass of Sauvvy B!

Hot walk home. 3.40miles 🥵

Tuesday 26th May
Still not sure why I decided that 32° was the perfect temperature to walk home in but I did it (with the help of a cheeky park cafe iced latte half way!) Even saw a few Binty chick's and bees on the way home!

Post Pride night walk! 🏳️‍🌈

Tuesday 26th May
With the weather being SO bloody warm (I'm not complaining in the slightest!) I went out for a nighttime walk when it was a little cooler but boy did it ware me out (not helped by not long getting back from celebrating Bham Pride!)

Evening 4 miles

Thursday 21st May
The weather is back on the up and to celebrate after a few days of feeling icky i thought I'd take one of my favourite strolls across the Northampton Washlands.

Kept it local today!

Sunday 17th May
After an afternoon of entertaining 30 kids at a birthday party and feeling a little under the weather (seriously whats going on with that atm?!) just a short 2 miles today around Abington Park today.

Starting the weekend right!!

Friday 15th May
The rain has cleared, the sun is out to i stretched the legs and took myself out for a 7.24 mile walk!

Just a dentist stroll today!

Wednesday 13th May
Today was root canal procedure day so my walk consisted of walking to the dentist (and forgetting to log my walk home) still just over a mile done!

Change of scenery!

Saturday 9th May
Taken myself to Bham this sunny weekend so did a nice circular walk from my hotel and along part of the canal where I came across some nice street art. Had to take afew snaps! Another 3 miles done.

4.20 miles done!

Friday 8th May
Weather continues to be kind so i decided to take along to work with me my walking stuff, skip the bus and walk home!

7th May 2026

Thursday 7th May
Had to make the most out of a lovely evening of sunshine and clocked up just under 6 miles!

Another 4.65 miles done!

Sunday 3rd May
Nice stroll this evening, got chased by 6 cows across a field and then my phone battery died so missed out on another 1.5 miles but never mind!

Me! 🙂

Saturday 2nd May

First walk complete!

Saturday 2nd May

First 6.73 miles complete!

Saturday 2nd May
Nice day to get started on this Dementia UK challenge. Those who know me will know that I can smash 31 miles in a month so I plan on taking it as far as I can go with my Nan in mind always and others who have reached out who too have lost someone to Dementia or have loved ones on their journey with Dementia.
