I'm walking 62 Miles in October
I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Lets keep on giving love, care and support where we can to make the life's of those living with dementia and their careers the best it can be .
We all know or will know someone living with dementia.
For me I did it in memory of my fabulous Dad who bore it so bravely as did my Mum in her supporting role.

Autumn in all her beauty
Wednesday 8th Oct
The Autumn truly is beautiful , the trees particularly so displaying their one last flush of colour before sleeping.
I have so many precious memories of taking Dad out for country drives when we were on his dementia journey. He commented all the time on how lovely the trees were they gave him so much pleasure. x Share

Target !
Tuesday 30th Sep
My initial target of £250 has been reached. Hooray !
Lets keep going. All support is hugely appreciated .
Only this morning I was talking with a lady who told me about the lack of support and huge waiting lists for help for people living with dementia. It can be a frightening world to navigate for the loved one and their carers. I look forward to getting started on my walks tomorrow and with your help lets make a difference xx Share
Thank you , thank you , thank you
Wednesday 24th Sep Wow folks this has got off to a great start. Thank you so much ! Can't wait to get started. x Share
My motivation
Wednesday 24th Sep
A huge thank you from me if you have been able to sponsor me.
Along with many of my friends I have experienced dementia from a carers point of view. One thing I wished was available to me and my loved ones was access to an Admiral Nurse here in Wales. I remember hearing about them operating in England when I was supporting my mum in caring for Dad.
I believe things are getting better with the support pathway more easily accesible but it sure can be a frightening and overwhelming condition to navigate alone. We did it though with the support of good friends and family .
I wont be signing up to Strava app as after a month you pay for it automatically and knowing me I will forget to cancel it. I will keep you all updated with my progress though and have shiny new walking boots to get me started.
Love Rosie xxxx
