This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

I am walking 30 miles in September
Sunday 9th AugThis September, I’ll be walking 30 miles to raise money for Dementia UK. 💙
My Grandma was first diagnosed with dementia a few years ago, and sadly, this year things have escalated much quicker than we ever wanted them to. Grandma is now being cared for by the amazing staff at Ashdowne Care Home, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care, kindness and support they give her every day.
I’m raising money for Dementia UK because they have also been a huge support to our family throughout Grandma’s journey. When Grandma was still living at home, we were able to find advice, guidance and support through Dementia UK, which made what was an incredibly difficult and confusing time feel a little less overwhelming.
Dementia is something that affects the whole family, not just the person living with it. Watching someone you love change because of dementia is heartbreaking, and having the right support can make such a difference.
So this September, I’m taking on the challenge of walking 30 miles to raise as much as I can for Dementia UK, in honour of my Grandma and for all the families facing dementia.
