I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

My Goal - Why I’m grateful to do this.
Tuesday 1st SepAn estimated 1 million people today are living with dementia in the UK. 1 million people who have raised families, built lives, and lived through their own unique experience as we all are doing so right now.
The diagnosis never stops with just 1 person, it ripples out to affect family, friends, children, carers… and in the grand scheme of things this illness touches almost everyone in some way.
After reading some stories of peoples’ in the Dementia UK group, and their own reasons and purpose of participating in this campaign, I was sure that I wanted to do it too.
And that is why I have decided I will aim to walk 100+ miles in September to push this campaign as I believe this to be not just a cause of necessity but a cause of humanity. My Grandad battled dementia in his final years - I will walk for him and for everyone else.
