The Mitchener-Freeman’s are walking 62K with our dog for Dementia UK

This March, the Mitchener-Freeman family is walking 62K with our Cookie dog and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. Decided by the girls, we’re taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Weekend walks

Tuesday 11th Mar
Kids weren’t with us this weekend, so all walks completed by yours truly. The sun was shining, podcast poised and off we went. Thank you for your continued support, all pennies appreciated to Dementia UK

Tuesday 4th Mar
The girls & family have achieved 11k so far. Fortunately the weather has been on our side and Cookie is loving life. We’ve nearly reached target already, so a big big thank you, from all of us and Dementia Uk. Please continue to donate if you’re able too.

Sunday 23rd Feb
Isabelle sent in the family chat about walking 62km with your dog in March in support of Dementia. Seren quickly jumped in and  said yes, so here we go…
Both our families have suffered the pain that dementia causes, if we can take on a little challenge, raise some money and more awareness then why not. Well done girls, very proud of you x
