Help me reach my goal of £400

I'm taking on Fans vs Dementia

During the course of 90 minutes, 30 people in the UK will develop dementia.

I’m taking on Fans vs Dementia and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

West Ham to Brentford May 2nd

Hi All 

I’ve decided to sign up to the Football Fans v Dementia 

The aim is to walk to your football Stadium 

However, my problem is I live in Reading and the London Stadium is  an 18 hour walk away

So I’ve decided that it might be best if I walk to an away game from London Stadium 

Brentford  is a mere 5 hours away
So Bees v Hammers it is!!!

Sadly, there’s also another reason for choosing that particular weekend…
It was 6 years ago that weekend that Mum had a stroke.
That stroke accelerated Mum’s dementia from early onset to her becoming monosyllabic 
It was like our Mum had had her personality stolen overnight 
The Mum we once knew was gone 
She had moments of clarity but was unable to express her thoughts 

Dementia UK is a wonderful charity helping so many people like Mum that I’d like to do something to assist them by hopefully raising a few pounds for them to put to good use
