I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

For Nanny Dee 🫶

This is a charity very close to my heart . 
As most of you know my beautiful nanny Dee has Alzheimer’s , it’s such a cruel disease. It was around 10 years ago my mum noticed my Nan was acting a bit different and my mum knew the signs of Alzheimer’s . My Nan started forgetting lots of things  including who we were which was the hardest thing. She started hiding her belongings (keys, remote control even her kettle) and saying the same thing a few times .  

My mum is her full time career 24/7, she takes my Nan out mosts days, make sure she is fed, clean and presentable. Takes her to all of her doctors, hair, feet appointments, anywhere my nan wants to go she takes her. Of course I take my nan out on the weekends and help out where I can, but to do what my mum does every single day, she is hands down the strongest most powerful, bravest woman I know. 
So I am walking a mile a day in September to raise money to help with Alzheimer’s, and to eventually find a cure for this heartbreaking horrible disease.
