Over half way!

Sunday 19th Oct
I have been blown away by the support so far on this challenge. Initially I thought  ‘62 miles in a month - sure that’s nothing, this will be easy!’ Of course I under estimated how challenging this would be! To be honest it is not so much the distance - the most challenging part of this personal goal has been the time to do a walk each day. Most of my walks have been between 9-10pm when it s been dark ( and often wet!)  but it really makes me appreciate my weekend walks  even more when I get to enjoy  the sunshine and all the beauty that Autumn brings 🍁🍂

It has been lovely to have to some quiet time  to appreciate the beauty all around me. It has helped me to be more present and be appreciative for gift  of life itself and appreciate the One who created it.

Daniel has been accompanying me on most walks which has been a big encouragement - we are very much doing this as a team now. The support of everyone helped to spur me on to keep going!!

Over half way now.
Thank you again for your support.
Granda this is for you x

A walk for Arthur

Friday 3rd Oct
I am walking  62 miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need.

I am completing  this challenge in memory of my Granda, Arthur,  who sadly passed  away in June 2025 . He was diagnosed with Lewy- body Dementia  in 2020.  Arthur absolutely  loved walking-  in the past he was a member of a number of walking clubs and  he continued to  enjoy going for a little dander  with family and friends ( usually followed by a cuppa!)  until  he was  no longer able to.

A walking challenge seems like the  perfect way to honour him and raise some  money to help provide support and care for those living with, or impacted by Dementia

I am enjoying  going on these  walks and  taking the  time to fondly remember the great walks & chats we had over the years together!

Any donation, big or small, is very much appreciated ✨💕

Thank you x

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support
