I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

There are moments you wished that you have someone
Friday 1st MayHi there,
This May, I’m taking part in the Walk 31 Miles in May 2026 challenge to support Dementia UK — a cause that has become incredibly personal to me.
A year ago, my father was diagnosed with dementia.
Since then, life has changed in ways I never expected.
I’ve watched someone I love slowly struggle with memory, with clarity, with parts of himself that once felt so certain. It’s not just about forgetting — it’s about the quiet moments of confusion, the changes in personality, and the emotional weight that families carry every single day.
There are moments that are heartbreaking… and moments where you just wish you had someone to guide you, to reassure you, to help you understand what’s happening.
That’s why organisations like Dementia UK matter so much. Their specialist nurses are there when families feel lost — offering not just advice, but real human support, compassion, and understanding.
I’m walking these 31 miles for my father…
and for every family going through this journey.
If you’re able to support me, even in a small way, it would mean so much.
A donation of £10 could help fund two calls to their Helpline — two families getting the support they need in a difficult moment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for walking alongside me in spirit.
With gratitude,
Randika

Cheering you on! All the best! X
