I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK

This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

60 miles for Dementia UK💙

Sunday 31st May

This June, I'm taking on a challenge to walk 60 miles and raise money for Dementia UK.

I started working in the care sector at 18 and it gave me a real insight into the impact dementia can have. It's not just about memory loss, it can affect every part of a person's life, as well as the lives of those around them. I've seen families doing everything they can to support their loved ones, often while dealing with their own worries and emotions at the same time.

I've also seen just how important the right support can be. A little bit of guidance, reassurance and understanding can make a huge difference when someone is facing a dementia diagnosis or caring for a loved one who is.

That's why I've decided to support Dementia UK and the work they do to help families access specialist advice and support when they need it most, and I wanted to do something that could contribute towards that.

So, throughout June, I'll be getting my walking shoes on (probably converse in all honesty!) and aiming to complete 60 miles. Some days will definitely be easier than others (especially if the British weather has anything to say about it!), but I'm looking forward to the challenge and raising money for a cause that means a lot to me through my work.

If you'd like to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. Thank you so much for your support and wish me luck for those 60 miles! (Cally, my dog, is very excited!)
