hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse

I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you!

Dementia 'time for a cuppa' fundraiser

Wednesday 25th Mar
Dementia is currently the biggest known killer in the UK. One in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime. It is rare to find someone who does not know someone else who is affected by dementia in some way whether it be themselves or a loved one. Dementia is not only completely devastating for the person who develops the condition, but also for the family and loved ones involved. It is known as the "long goodbye" for a valid reason. Currently there is no cure. All we can do is raise awareness and funds to further research and develop a future hope that something can be done to prevent more people from the utter heartbreak dementia entails. Please join us in helping to raise funds for this vital cause by supporting our "time for a cuppa" fundraiser on Saturday 23 May, 10.15 am to 11.45 , at Whitchurch House Residential Home,  or donate via the just giving page .......every penny counts.. on behalf of every person going through a dementia "journey"... Thank you xx
