Rachael’s Bake and Brew

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

My Grandad had Alzheimer’s when he passed away and my other Grandad now also has Dementia with Lewy Bodies. I’ve seen first hand, the highs and lows associated with a loved one having dementia - I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone. In the months before my Grandad passed away, Dementia UK provided such incredible support to my Grandma, sending nurses every morning and evening to help my Grandad get washed and dressed. Not only that, but Dementia UK provided outstanding support for all family members involved  in my Grandad’s care, to help make their experience a little easier. Your donation, big or small, makes a difference.

£21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. 

£33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support.
