I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

So I set myself a challenge to walk 30 miles in September to support Dementia UK. An amazing charity that does incredible work to support families & friends of those who suffer with Dementia. It affects everyone in that close unit. I’ve met a few of the Admiral Nurses & they truly are incredible people. The charity has expanded hugely since I was involved with it but I still wanted to help in some small way.  

Yet I did it & completed 30 miles this month! Slightly harder than expected but I walked just over 30 miles (just!). Whilst doing the walks. I have spent quality time with family & friends, completing the last couple of walks on my own. Beautiful countryside seen (it’s in abundance where I live) & had lots of chats to strangers along the way. It’s been good to reflect just how lucky I am with all that I have.
